Information on Training – Please read carefully before booking
We believe the key to great support happens when people invest in learning, and that we should be putting things that help in place early.
Through consultation of our families and wider stakeholders, we have developed our new training mode – Theory-Practice-Evaluate.
Delegates should attend all three sessions to get the best out of the learning, so please ensure you note when all three sessions take place.
Session 1: This session will focus on the theory of understanding anxiety, what happens to us when we get anxious, what might we see with individuals who are anxious and start to think about the underlying reasons for what we see.
Session 2: Building on our understanding and theory in session 1, this session will start to apply this learning to look at some practical strategies we can implement in daily life to support young people to develop and manage their anxiety.
Session 3: We’ve learned the theory behind what happens to each of us as our anxiety rises, we’ve thought of some strategies that we can use to support our young people and in our final session we will have the chance to evaluate some of the tools, think about what might stop us being able to use them or adapting them for specific situations.
These sessions will be delivered via zoom, links will be sent out from training@perthautismsupport.org.uk to the email address you use to book.
